Can you hit lift in reverse?

In theory you can but also you cant.

Has anyone tried it?

Is it true that you the engine won't rev past 6000rpm when not in gear? (i.e. neutral)

alot of cars ,wont rev through there full rev range while in neutral ,iirc nissan r35 gtr for example
