Late Corrolla D-4D-Timing Belt Or Chain?

I,m looking for either a late Corrolla d-4d(114) or an early Auris d-4d .

Do they have a timing chain or belt,don,t want to buy a car then have to have belt done on next service.

the 1.4d4d in the corolla has chain

the 2.0d4d 114bhp you mentioned has a belt which needs changing every 60,000

can't say about the auris i have no info on it. i'm going to be controversial (again) and say the corolla is a much better car! especially the 2.0d4d feels substantial like it has some weight in the thing, the doors thud nicely etc. my experience of the auris is it is too tinny compared to the corolla. just my opinion i'm sure others will queue up to disagree!
