be very carefull with engine turbocharging.

the point is it must be preliminary designed to have boosting air pressure and finally to prevent your pistons melting down. Cheers/Igor

dont fit 2 head gaskets it wont seal properly if you get a thick enough head gasket it will be ok on low boost but to run high boost low compression forged pistons way to go lol . have u got bigger injectors and fuel pump to go with the increase in air ?? what turbo you running? you got an uprated clutch ?? not to sure if the starlet ecu will fit or not think it might but if you do change it you might have to get the keys coded in to that ecu. unles you can get locks and keys of the starlet your gettin the ecu from

Well I have just got the standard turbo ct9 I think lol still got to get the injectors and I'm only planning on running low boost to begin with anyway. On other forums there say these 4efe engine are quite strong will easily handle 11psi of boost. But there is mix feelings about these engines

depends ware what forums if its starlet forums then member the engines are made for a turbo and diffrent pistons will be in then to the corolla engine. iv had alot to do with the glanza 4efte engines and know what they can handle boost wise standered ect but not 100% sure bout a standered N/A 4efe.

the engines are good engines comon for piston rings going tho

Wouldn't it just be easier to drop the whole 4E-FTE in rather than trying to turbocharge a 4E-FE?

dont do it.

theres different timing and everything.

not as simple as slapping a turbo on

if you want the power then get the proper engine

slap a 3s-gte in there even B)

lad on an irish toyota site running 1 and some motor

as for the glanza engines, lads over here have them running 300bhp

Agreed. You really should save the cash and take the reliable route, you honestly will regret it if you don't be patient and save the cash. I have made the mistake of being impatient with some bits of the GTi, and even before she hits the road there are things I am not happy about.
