Hey guys,

I just registered and I'm pretty new here and this is my 1st official post. It's nice to meet you all.

I always loved Toyota's and my project car for at moment is to get a turbo kit on my Echo and adjustable coil overs to near stock height,(cuz I really hate any stock suspension, especially in the echo's high center of gravity design) I do want to make my little echo a sleeper car.

Any one making their toyota cars sleepers? :)

Nice city Vancouver... I was there in 2009 and noticed how many Prius there were as cabs!

Stanley Park is amazing too....

Glad you liked your stay in Vancouver!

Yeah a lot of our cabs are either prius' or corollas. The city loves going green(esp because GreenPeace started here) Yet, it was kind of a poser move to show the world that we're a green city due to the 2010 Winter Olypics. 4-5 years before the olympics they started to filter out the big american v8 cars they used to have as cabs and bought mostly the Corollas and Prius'. There definitely was a government grant for the change.

How's the UK preperation for the 2012 summer olympics? Government do any drastic poser moves..like i just described what vancouver did? hehe

He he, our government doing poser moves?? They invwnted the phrase pal!!

By all accounts the main venues are pretty much ready, on time or early and believe it or not on budget too which is even more of a miracle!

Personally I am going away for the duration, I live too close to one of the venues (mountain biking) and some of the roads i use regularly will be closed except for 'officials' for the duration!

Yeah I lived between major Olympic venues also. I live on a major street in Metro Vancouver and they used the parking lane as the "officals/atheletes" fast lane. You see painted Vancouver Olympic 2010 crappy GMC vehicles bomb it down the dedicated olympic lane. I had to park my car a block away from my place, which was annoying.

I have the same mentality like yourself. I didn't go to any Olympic venues so I wanted to get the heck out of dodge (no pun intended) and get out of the city. But, I stayed and went to the free venues going around the city, I glad I stayed the atmosphere was really electric, something that I did expect when the corporate orgy which we call The Olympics came to town.
