I just bought a tsport corolla and knew when buying it that it would need some work.can anyone recommend a clutch kit and flywheel that would be suitable for everyday use.I not looking for a mad sports clutch that would be difficult to drive with.I hear the fidanza flywheel is a good option and maybe exedy stage 1 clutch?

also if there is anywhere that would be recommended to buy...sites etc. I will be fitting it myself.

thanks.

didn't realise you needed to change flywheel on petrol engines? i had assumed high torque diesel engines are hard work on their flywheels put petrol engines produce hardly any torque? to be honest if you're just wanting everyday driving then why not go with a normal LUK clutch and flywheel (if it needs replacing?) i'm not 100% but I think Farhan use to have the fidanza flywheel and didn't like it, said it was too light? Can't remember properly now...

I use the Fidanza flywheel and EXEDY stage 1 clutch, it can be tricky around town but in the open rd its just fine mate.

The flywheel is a solid item so NOT dual mass, so only reason for changing it is for the lighter item

I guess changing it when your doing the clutch is the best time really

and a lighter flywheel lets the engine rev up faster from what i know, but why does that matter it's not really adding bhp as such?

yep that's best time, so you don't pay twice for the labour...
