2001 (51) Corolla Starter Motor- Bosch Or Toyota?

Hello

my starter motor is failing but I can't identify whether I need a Bosch or Toyota replacement. There are no stickers or obvious signs on the existing model. Any clues please?

I don't think it matters as long as the one you fit is correct for the car and works properly? Try getting one from breakers yard?

just buy a repair kit from toyota simples the rebuild it your self or get someone to do it for you kits only cost around 15 quid

According to the electrical and Battery tests it does point to the starter,

Hi, where it matters is when trying to order online parts- they can't be sure of sending the right one. Two starters used on the same year and model seems a bit unusual...

if it can be avoided personally i never order car parts online...i always advocate creating a relationship with a good established local independant retailer who you buy parts from. in my experience that has saved me money in the past as well as got me properly independant advice. for example if i were in your shoes i know my parts guy would give me both starter motors for free then i'd return one and he'd charge me for the one i'd used.
