Wiper Problem

One of my wipers doesn't work properly at the moment, if I do a screenwash only the drivers side one moves. However, from memory... if move the blade to the upright position, not touching the window, it moves the way it should (albeit, not actually touching the window). It seems like the electrics are fine, but could anyone give me some advice on what is borked so I can grab the right part?

Cheers!

Where the wiper arm is connected to the wiper motor you should see a cap covering a nut underneath, remove the cap. Whilst someone is operating the wipers check to see if the wiper motor spindle is turning freely inside the wiper arm hole? if so try tightening the nut down. After that I would check the wiper linkage is all moving as it should.

Other than that it sounds like there's some resistance somewhere, check any wiring and plugs for any green mildue/corrosion.

If you dont find any the resistance is inside the wiper motor and a replacement is needed as they tend to be a throw away part these days.
