Hi all

Thinking about changing lift bolts and whilst the rocker cover is off spraying it up.

Will two part paint be ok to spray it with and with stand the heat?

If not what's the best choice?

any one else done it?

Thinking of getting another rocker cover so I can paint it up before hand how much do you think I could pick one up for?

i sprayed my engine cover (the plastic one) with some gorgeous red paint and laqured it and its still fine even though it gets quite hot. anything hotter i would suggest any of the Halfords high temp paints. some of the gloss ones are quite good tbh, the finish is rock hard.

No I ment the whole rocker cover (metal cover for cams and alike) not just a spark plug cover.

Thanks any way.

Not sure deep metallic grey with sharp silver flake maybe.

Was going to try and get one from a scrap yard if I can find one. To keep the cost down. Or going to have to remove it prep it for spraying and then spray it and do the lift bolts and wait for the paint to cure properly before refitting.

id use vht paint like brake caliper paint. 2 pack paint might crack when it gets hot. Could always go all out and get some autosol and polish it up. What are you going to do to cover up the coil packs? I want to ditch the plastic cover but there is no affordable plug cover , that elise one is cool but well expensive!

Prob make one if I can be bothered. Will make one out of sheet alloy and polish it up.

Was thinking about polishing it but it's going to take too long I think any one else polished it?
