Mountain Biking

Recommended Posts

My hobby is mountain biking, I've currently got a boardman team full suspension, I had a jump bike before that but I found as I fit older the more it hurt when I came off.

I try to go out on it when I'm on night shifts, I live right by sherwood pines woodland so I don't have to worry about parking the car at the side if the road or in a dodgy car park

I may ask your opinion on a bike then if you don't mind.

I don't do a lot of biking although will be doing more and more as the years go by and our son learns to ride, and to mess about a bit at when at the brother in lawsmon some light off roading tracks.

A friend of mine is selling his Trek Ticket 30, I'm aware it's more of a jump/downhill machine, but he's had it since October and wants £150 for it once a new chain is fitted. I suspect it won't be in the 'as new' condition that he claims but what are your thoughts overall.

Trek are a good solid bike, just had a quick look at the ticket 30 and the 2011 version is £600 new so the older bikes can't be to shabby,

I'd just make sure the bearings run nice and smooth, no buckles in the rims and the gears select well.

I used my old jump bike as a normal bike most of the time, it's only down side was a small frame.

Been doing MTB endurance "racing" for the last few years, my last one for a while is Relentless24 next weekend.

Switched back to a road riding focus due to the costs of constantly trashing MTB parts.

My G6 is a bit of a mess in the back as the seats are near permanently down so the bikes can be transported and insured at the same time.

Aiming to find a van when its beyond sensible repair.

The video is really cool!

I also like cycling, but I am in this topic to learn more about interesting places to go with a bike. Like cycling alongside the cost. Anybody has ideas?
