I have turned my attentions to the engine bay this week, having painted the dipstick and fuse box. I have also started with the engine cover but that will take a while as I have a fair bit to do there. I am planning on painting the air box next week too. I took the sound proofing off last week and today have given the underneath of the bonnet a right good clean.

I have measured up for some new silicone hoses and will order them when I get paid, also have some high temp silver paint to do the manifold etc when time allows.

A couple of photos below the fuse cover is really red honest I am just using a rubbish camera that thinks red is orange

Good start with the fuse boxes, try to get a decent camera though! :P I had that issue with my old iPhone 3G.... when I painted my Radiator Fan red it came out completely orange and looked cack in the photos. It's shinier than ever now though.. B)

Any news on that GTi?

Cheers, I was going to get the pressed plates but they are a fair bit more expensive and 7 to 10 days to deliver thats after I had sent my documents over to them. My new wheels are waiting to be fitted (just ordered the spigot rings for them) and a whiteline arb is on its way too

You will not regret fitting the Whiteline ARB mate, I have one fitted and one of the best mods ive done so far

Hmmmm. I think I Prefer the new Ones. But not sure about the colour, I think the contrast with the colour of the tyres is what's putting people off....
