Hi everyone I'm a newbie and I need some help. I've got a carina and my electricsunroof has just stopped working. It opens on tilt but then it won't shut fully hence it won't slide open as well. Any ideas??

Being an older car make sure the runners are well greased and not bent and you can detect that every time you press the button you can actualy feel the motor is still trying to actively work If not you have the motor failed or bad switch contact and or relay problem

Your problem is similar to my 'Window sticking' which I posted on the 11th of May last. You dont have an outright failure e.g. a fuse gone or whatever , but a jamming as Petroleum suggests ? My side window jams and requires a thump to release , but as Petroleum suggested in my case , something may be impeding the glass moving and that is what I am working on to get a permanent cure. Best of luck.

I am sharing some information about Toyota here.Toyota was formed in 1933 as a spin-off from the main conglomerate to manufacture automobiles; in 1936 the Toyota AA was launched and the company rapidly grew in the post-war years. The company owns the luxury car maker, Lexus and the trendy Scion but also has significant holdings in numerous other car makers including a controlling interest in Daihatsu as well as owning the Isuzu, best known in the US for SUV’s but a major automaker in its own right..

Chicago used lexus GS

My Carina Estate has the same problem, the previous owner had the sunroof deactivated under advice from an ex Toyota mechanic who informed him that it would cost about a grand to rectify. Is this correct?
