Rebuild?

I have a pain in the bum corolla had it from new in 02 well about 1-2 yr ago the bottom end went :( paid well over the odds 2 get a new engine (about 1k)

then someone crashed into me by reversing and not looking and made a right mess of the car but after 6mnths he finally paid for damages well the garage said there was gear oil leak and can't be done as crash I said ok I will pay as long as the leak is fixed so i get car back and it is leaking oil again and loses water a lot, I seen temp go up and fans blew cold .......... yep same thoughts as me I bet? HEAD GASKET ffs I am fuming garage said he will do it for 1k as it need a new rad also :(

I really don't know what to do now I am about to pop up 2 garage 2 get the car :(

just wondering how easy the top is to do on corolla? I did my corsa years ago and that was a pain , but I can't keep paying out for this car :( it's 75k on clock its a 02 vvti t3

any help would be great sorry for joining a forum with a prob so soon I feel cheeky hehe

has no-one rebuilt there top end (head gasket) or is there no reply because its not worth doing?

oh thats rubbish I will phone scrappers tomoz to see what price I get and also see if I can find a gasket set and price it up see which is better
