I just noticed I've not got a rubber strip on my 56 plate T-Spirit.

Is it supposed to have one?

just concerned in case it should and its letting too much air flow into the engine which may cause the bonnet to flip up.

I enquired about that before after noticing the Auris has a rubber strip. I'm still thinking about fitting a rubber strip as I'm thinking streamlining; they do that somethimes on Top Gear plus if its fitted to the Auris, why not the Yaris?

It does look wierd when you're at the right angle and (in my case) can see the 'VVT-i' slogan on the airbox through the gap . .

ok thanks fellas.

i think it would look much cleaner with a rubber strip, but worried in case the gap is meant to be there.

Simples.......cost!

Just like every other part that can be left off to keep costs down
