Iv'e been thinking...as to whether i should spray my plastic foglight covers...the bottom black grill of my front bumper...and the top black grill on my bonnet...aswell as the black lower grill/strip/vent (or whatever you call it) on my rear bumper...The same colour as my car...1c0.

Do you guys think it would look too over the top? :o I dont think anyones done it yet?

How much do you think a bodyshop would charge? I would do it myself but the cost of plastic primer is quite dear!

Sammy

i'm sure your car is SR model in which case the very bottom lip of the front bumper will already be colour coded? and i rekon the black around fog lights breaks up the bumper but each to their own if it's done nicely i rekon it could look good. will definitely give your car the personalised look! :)

Thats exactly what im thinking...THE PERSONALISED LOOK...i recon it would make the whole car

look  cleaner and sleeker!!! The cars in the bodyshop at the moment having paint rectifications done...once done i will ask him how much he'll charge to spray all those bits...will keep you updated...Just hope once sprayed the paint doesnt chip away...stones/pressure washing etc! lol

Hey up Sammy lass,

Phew - will have to get some new glasses, for the minute I thought you were saying we had to colour code our Bits - just like the swinging '60s :yahoo::lol:

As well as the same colour, what about a complemetary colour to give it a bit more lively look.

Its worth getting the plastic primed properly, had a insurance repair done on the old Avensis, after a year or so, every time I took it to the jet wash more paint would peel off the new, painted front bumper.

If you are concerned about stone chip damage, there are clear coatings /films you can get to prevent that.

In the body shop again - are you still using that same paint sprayer ??
