Tyre Sizes On 18" Rims

was just wondering what the optimal sizes on 18" wheels for a corolla tsport is so i can keep a bit of comfor on the ride i know i can get 215 35 18 but can i go more on the sidewalls for comfort :D

ive got 17s at the moment with 215 45 17 which aint to bad for the ride

just wondered if anyone has any bigger

I'm on 225/45 but that's on 17's.

Sure you should be able to go to 225/ 40 to 225/55

225/40/18 is the usual size that VAG use, try that?

Just type in the original tyre size and then tweak it about until the second number is as close to the original to maintain accuracy :)

The only problem is that the t sports speedo is out anyway. Mine is dead on with the sat nav now I have fitted my new alloys.

According to the calculator compared to the 17s on your car at the moment the only tyre sizes in 18inch that fall within 1% are 235/35/18, 215,40/18, 205/40/18

Its going to be difficult to go up in alloy size and get a high sidewall as the rolling radius will go up..
