Corolla To Auris

Hi to all Auris owners, just changed from 54 Corolla 1.6 T3 to an Auris 08 1.6 TR in VGC with fairly low milage (12k), one or two areas that I wish to attend to, one being a few small spot marks on the flat area of plastic above the controls and under the windscreen, looks like water spot marks, having read various posters comments about the quality of the Auris trim would like some opinions of what to use to remove them if possible,I will leave well alone if advised, also a small stain on drivers seat also looks like a fluid stain, again whats best to use.

Looking forward to some replies and some advice.

Thanks

M J H

Hellfrauds Dash Cleaner does a good job on water marks. Its normally from people putting sat navs up etc, and is the grease from fingers, its normally a white-ish deposit.

As for the stain on the seat, any decent upholstery cleaner will do, just avoid anything with bleach :) (and dont try to find out what the stain is!)

I too came to the Auris from a Corolla and I find that for the Auris the best method is to use a wet microfibre cloth soaked in hot water for all the trim. When I got the car new, the first thing I did was use Armorall which I have used for years and it was an absolute disaster always looking blotchy on the crackle finish. The microfibre cloths used wet are brilliant.

Good advice as if you watched Top Gear at the weekend I am sure you don't want the forensic team taking a look at that :) old Jezza was not to impressed in what they found in the Merc
