4ws Import Convertible 1991

hi all

i have just got a celica auto 4WS import convertible 1991, dont know much about it as this is my first celica i think its a 5gen, ST183C-BKPVF thats the number toyota give me for the car, they are a few s/w i dont know what they do a sports s/w (on or off) under the dash, a manual and a PWR s/w (put one s/w on and it s/w the other off) near the auto gear knob, do anyone know what they do as the dont seem to do a lot?

they are not the rev steer, or the overdrive as i have found them and they work fine.

i live it ipswich and the toyota main dealer have not seen one befor and dont know what parts would be Compatible.

any info please about this car please

Its difficult to understand your post (to me anyway) but some of the import cars had an active suspension system. You press a switch and the car lowers/stiffens slightly for better handling on winding roads. In town you can turn it off for a more comfy ride.

Hi Lee the PWR switch near the gearlever is for the sports gearbox if you put it on it holds the gears longer before changing up so you can accelerate faster :thumbsup:

thanks Kelvyn dont know if it has got active suspension system but will try to find out. :thumbsup:

thanks celicaste tryed the PWR s/w it do keep in the gears a bit longer but so do the manual s/w and also the overdrive s/w as well. :thumbsup:
