Very Strange Remote/ Alarm/ Locking Unlocking Problem

ok tonight ive come home from work locked the car but 5 mins later had to go back to car went to unlock it from remote but nothing !!!! light on remote works but not unlocking car. went to get spare key and the same wouldnt unlock or lock both remotes working ok and both red lights on remote working....

went in doors to get changed and get some tools ready to dissconnect Battery (if alarm sounded) after unlocking from using key in door but thought i would give it a go and !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it unlocked and locked. started car to check that all was ok and all fine.

now i think it could do it agian any ideas what could of caused it ???
