I was looking to see if i could find if someone had built a 4x4 iQ yet.

Couldnt believe that these bits were available.

Just horrible IMO.

Oh, i don't know. If you raised the suspension and added some knobbly off road tyres

P.S. i wonder if they do a snorkel for the inlet?

I have very similar 'Cobra side bars' & an 'A bar' finished in powder coated black fitted to a Jimny.

They are pretty heavy with quite a substantial mounting bracket,(hang down a bit too low & catch & gather muck on the sill bars fitting.

'Just not worth adding the extra weight to an iQ IMO,

A bar' will cause problems with your insurance, it messes up the front crush area, 'fuel cut' off in an accident & can effect the 'Air Bags' function..

So you must inform them if the 'A bar' is fitted.

(it probably can not be sold or fitted legally in Europe under the rules since 2007.)

But i bet those for the IQ are only decorative and would crumble a easily as a toilet roll tube.

Seriously thinking on sticking a almost complete iQ body up on a shortened 4x4 rolling chassis

thow.

Want the engine & drivetrain from the iQ for using in a rearwheel drive buggy.

Just need to find a suitable accident damaged iQ multidrive for enough cheapness.

That sounds like an interesting project.

Reminds me of one I saw years ago, I think and old Fiat Panda 4X4 running gear was used with the body Shell of a proper (original) Mini.

Quite a few about,minis,mokes, minors, smarts etc, i hear there is an Iq already, just not found it yet..

Some are good & some not so great, this one will look like it came from the factory.

I am removing the orange pickup body & an iQ body is going on with a few modifications..

(orange pickup is going on a shortened LR 90 chassis.)

iQ engine is going in a light buggy instead of a using a Motor cycle engine.

(bit of a bigger buggy than this, but not to much bigger)
