Sorry guys and girls - a tired topic I know (pardon the pun).

Need to replace three out of four tyres (so will probably go for all four corners). As it's nearing end of Sept was thinking about winter tyres in any case about now, but can't really afford to buy new everyday tyres - and winter tyres, but anticipating snow like last year, and want to be prepared.

Any suggestions for a good all round tyre that would do both jobs?

Not so easy a question to answer,to my mind.

There are so many variables to consider such as=

Finances.

Mileage covered.

Do you travel far from where you live, and is that area susceptible to large amounts of snowfall. To some areas 2inches is only considered as a light dusting.

Many people will only swear by one brand of tyre because it is best suited to their particular needs.

My advice, for what it is worth is to ask around tyre depots, both independents and national. Personally I have an indie near where I live who I trust and only go there, as the owner values his customers.

Sorry if I do not help with a definite answer, but I tend to think "horses for courses" coupled with "best for your buck"

All the best on whatever is decided :thumbsup:

Del.

On my year & model Rav, 2009, the Geolanders G91A do a good job, but I am in Berkshire where 2" is a major emergency (not for the Rav), generally the premium tyres (blackcircle.com) give good performance, but if you live in exposed areas Highlands, Peak District you may want to consider two sets Winter/Summer.

Del summed it up best me thinks.

Gus

edit - having said that we will now have the mildest ever winter!!
