How Much Is It Worth

Hi,Can anyone help me value my father in-laws Urban Cruiser. All i know about it is it's a August 2010 model with 8929 miles on the clock. I believe it's got 4 wheel drive and 5 doors and it's a brown kinda colour. Any help will be appreciated. My mother in-law has contacted the local Toyota dealer who are sending someone round to have a "look". All I'm looking for is a honest price, just to stop her having her leg lifted.

That is good advice I have always found the Parkers website and guide prices to be quite accurate

Wow!!! Thats a lot more than we expected.I've found out since that it is a diesel engine, about 13/1400cc,also I didn't mention it's not a part exchange it's a straight sale (my father in-law passed away)will that effect the value?

Any advise would be very much appreciated.

Firstly, sorry to hear of your family's loss.

I would expect to see a privately advertised car (in Auto Trader for example) priced at around £13,910.

Unfortunately some dealers see a trade in as "poor business" so you may well get offered the first price, if ask "how much are you wanting for it?" say about £14,500 and go from there!
