Bonnet Vents

seeing as my original bonnet was repaired i now have a spare one and was thinking of putting a vent on it for the summer months ( when ever that may be?? ) i was thinking renault 19 vent off to one side over the filter?

post up your ideas would like to see if anyone has any over ideas :thumbsup:

I was think about doing that this summer never got around to it was going to make a custom airbox so the bonnet vent goes straight into the air box. As much cold air as the engine wants.

I like this idea, been thinking along these lines myself. My issue is every bonnet I see with vents that have been filled end up cracking :crybaby:

:crybaby: im going to fibre glass it on so it shouldn't do it, had a bonnet skin on my escort saloon which was bad boy'd with an evo vent lol had to be done but it never cracked suppose its all down to the quality of work

heres the problem with right over the filter.....your out having a nice summer drive then crack,......thunder and lightning and a massive down pore....boom water in the intake and poss wreck the engine

yeah is a slight risk :wacko: but theres a way round that lol put the vent on with a cold air pipe sealed to the underside with a water filter/trap or get one of them aen bypass filters

I used to run a filter wrap on my long arm civic induction system as the air filer was placed really low in the front bumper. Just not sure about using one in the engine bay ?
