I have just bought a 53 plate d4d avensis and I have noticed everytime I change gear it makes a really annoying squeak. I have asked I few people and they say it probs needs greasing, tried it and didn't work.

Any ideas

I had this problem before and used WD40 which took it away for awhile but came back after a couple of weeks. I eventually got some grease on a plastic rod and greased the spring and rods etc. That was over 6 months ago and I am still squeak free

I had a creaking clutch pedal on my 2008 D4D, it was a company car at the time and I never really thought about it, picked it up from a service one day at the main dealer and they told me they had replaced the clutch cylinder to cure the creaking clutch pedal.. never even told them about it. It's never creaked again anyway.

Hi,

Mines doing this, is it the master cylinder (Clutch Pedal end) or the slave cylinder (Gearbox end) that causes the problem?

Thanks

Nathan
