Is This Right?

Having picked up my new, to me, Aygo Blue, I was driving around on Saturday evening and had to pick my daughter's friend up. It was dark. She opened the door. No light! Odd thought I. So later I checked. There is no light switch, just a blanking plate on the passenger side door that should operate the interior lamp. Since having old minis and any other car, I have never had a car that has no switch for this on the passenger side door. So on delivering my car back to the main dealer for the Blu Tooth to be fixed, as it wasn't when I was given it on Saturday, I asked them to check to see if the loom was there and if so to fit s switch. Can anbody tell me if any off the Aygo range have this switch or am I expecting a negative answer from the dealer tomorrow?

The Aygo doesn't have a switch on the passenger door as cost weight saving measure.

I believe there is a topic in this forum that explains how one can be fitted though.

It drives me mad that the light doesnt come on when any door is opened. Trying to put a young baby in the rear car seat this time of year is a nightmare. Also the light not remaining on for a little time isn't good either. Just cost cutting gone a little too far...... otherwise a great cheap to run car :-)
