T3-X Saloon Boot Won't Open

I can't open the boot on avensis t3-x.

The other day I went to open the boot and nothing happened. When I press the button I hear the motor but nothing happen. I tried to use the key still couldn't get it open.

Is there a way of opening the boot From the inside?

I need to get the pushchair out of the car for my 2 month old baby.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You don't say which body the car has but if you have access to the inside of the hatchback or estate there is a small square panel in the lower centre of the door. Remove it and place a screwdriver in the hole and push the lever to the right. If you have the saloon I don't know of any way to release the lid if the key won't release it.
