What's Connected To The Drive Belt?

Can anyone confirm what the drive belt is connected to on a Corolla Verso 1.8 VVTi?

It's my understanding that PAS is controlled separately in this engine, so what else is going on under there?

Any takers? Links to diagrams would be helpful.

Cheers!

P.S. Anyone who has an opinion, please just move along... I'm looking for technical replies only. You know who you are!!

I think I have a good idea as to what is connected to it but as you only want technical answers I will refrain as you seem to be pretty narked off with someone and could do without the hassle of you turning your anger towards me tbh.

I could tell you by just looking - the individual components are easily identified.

Open the bonnet - count the number of pulleys and then identify which pulley is connected to what.:)

In the world of engineering this process is often to referred to as GOYBAL. Get off your bum and look.:)

If youd spent 2 seconds searching youd get an answer. Its not even belt driven...

Thank you... it's the aux components I'm referring to.

I don't have the car to hand, so I can't take a look for myself at this moment.

A short list of aux components would help.

Cheers!

Also, anyone know when the aux belt should be replaced (mileage)?

60,000, but mine went to 90,000 and it was still going strong. Replaced it anyway, as it was only £12 for a new one

just noticed you have a Rav4, why are you asking in the corrola section?

*my previous answer was for a corolla, so may be different for a rav4*

Cheers for the info!

I have both cars you mentioned, as I manage a private fleet of cars & motorcycles. The Corolla Verso is the newest addition to the fleet, so I'm looking to expand my knowledge about the servicing schedule for that car.

The Verso has done approx 65K miles, so I'll get the aux belt done now.

Incidentally, what were the labour hours on that job?

Thanks.
