Post Going Awol After Clicking Submit

This has happened a few times now and it's really peeing me off.

Basically, I'll be posting a reply but on hitting submit/post I get an error in a red box saying "You must enter a post." and a blank message window.

It seems to be some combination of javascript being off (Which I'm doing to try and combat the new lag on this site when posting from my Eee) and me taking too long to write a post, but now I have to CTRL+C every post I make before I hit submit just in case it happens!

On the old version of the forum, the forum would 'rescue' the missing post, or I could just hit Back and Opera would remember the post, but neither of these rescue mechanisms work any more, and it's cost me some fairly detailed replies which I can't be ubikd to type in again!

Can anything be done about this? Maybe a less javascripty editor or a 'lite' mode which doesn't need javascript at all??
