How To Change The Head Unit Of Auris?

Hello!

Just planning to change the head unit of my auris to any of the aftermarket touch screen unit like jvc, kenwood or pioneer?

Is it easy to change?has anybody done it by themselves? If someone done it can you post how to do it or shall i just leave it or pay an extra £££ ( just want to save extra £ fot another project)

Any opinion is greatly appreciated. Thank you

I'm on my phone just now so it's not the easiest to search with but when I did it years ago there was a good guide in this forum which shows exactly how to do it. Iirc you remove the bright silver strips next to the head unit and then unscrew the headunit, remove and unplug it and then fit the fascia adapter and your new stereo.

Thanks, i've been searching as well but seems cant find it.. Do i need new cables or adapters for the new unit to fit ?
