Coolant Level Dropping, No Leak

I have a 1995 Prado, 3.0 Diesel.

Recently the coolant level has been going down. I am wondering if short journey's ( less than 2 miles) could be the cause? On a long (50+ miles) journey the coolant level remains the same. I only notice the drop after doing several short journeys.

I can't find any leaks and there are no signs of head gasket issues.

Any ideas?
