Does Induction Kit Reduce Mpg?

Yes, because you will put your foot down everywhere to hear the extra noise ;)

Ours improved the old CTS figures, car breathes better.

Mrs didnt like lift though. :lol:

Depends. Sometimes it can decrease it as it could be badly designed so it's sucking in hot sir reducing performance so you might keep accelerating for longer or the noise can make you put your foot down.

On other cars ive found sometimes if does good like my old 106 diesel. The intake was about 5miles long on that and an induction kit made a massive difference. Usually they don't do nothing for performance or economy.

As mentioned they usually do little for actuall performance but that said if an increase is gained then you will use more fuel. This is because in theory your getting more oxygen in each induction stroke so therefore the ECU should allow more fuel for the optimum mixture hence why you get more power. In reality though this is hardly ever the case.
