Corolla T Sport Idle Issues 2005 Model Help!

Hi ,

Just wondering if anyone can help me out with idle problems on my car. For a few months now i have been having idle issues where the car once fully warmed up idles rather high between 1100 - 1500 rpm.. mainly it fluctuates between 1100 - 1300 rpm, i have replaced the MAF sensor (Genuine part) and i assume the iat (intake air temp) sensor is within the MAF sensor, yet the problem still lies. The car sometimes hesitates to accelerate and whilst driving and engaging the gear in neutral the revs drop down to 900 rpm and bounces up to 1300 rpm rather fast, and gradually comes down to 1200 rpm. Whilst the engine is cold it doesn't rev as high. . Also do the face lift corolla suffer from leaky intake manifold gasket? your help will be much appreciated. thanks

Sounds like idle air control valve under throttle body .you can try clean it but they are very expensive .clearing some times sorts it but only temporary .
