My handbook says the range in miles shown after filling up is based on average mpg achieved. Is this the average mpg achieved since new, or is it average for the previous tankfull?

it's not really much more than a guide although when it gets down to zero..................PANIC!

or buy some fue,l i did it once out of curiosity and my bottle went after 10 miles on 0 miles,it did go from 12miles to zero in one go and i bet there was still half a gallon left.
