Hiace Rear Diff Noisey

hi just bought a hiace :) its an 07 with low milage ,but to me the rear diff is noticably loud and can be heard at about 5mph .i bought it expecting to change diff but someone has suggested to change mountains first.ijust wondered if anyone else has had a similar problem

You could try that! But I'd be looking at changing the oil in the diff 1st to see if that does the trick. Forte produce a diff conditioner oil that help my box get rid of the whine...

have just replaced prop center bearing[all quite now :) ]however eBay had already seduced me into buying 2nd hand diff,so now i have a spare . Next time i will make the effort to remove prop and isolate noise before i go on spending spree :(

After you replace center bearing what happened? is there any changes?

yes as soon as bearing was replaced the noise dissapeared.

Hi everyone 

toyota hi ace 78k miles 

new mot no advisory 

but at 70 mph the bass vibration noise is intolerable 

please advise 

( it’s a deep bass vibration like constantly on the a rumble strip
