Disabling Drls On A 2004?

anyone know how to disable the DRLs and automatic (light sensitive) interior lights on a 2004 corolla? they're driving me batty. i know you can modify the e-brake switch to do this, but i'd prefer not to use this method; i don't want to have a brake indicator light on all the time, that'd be even more obnoxious than the lights.
