Corolla Engine Problems

Hello, seeking advise please as my 54 plate corolla 1.4 is a bit poorly...

problem started last week when oil light came on during my normal commute, was only a couple of miles from home so nursed it home, put in some oil but engine management light was staying on.

had its serviced on weds including replacing the belt shown on vid below and the error codes were cleared, car was fine for a day and then oil light started to flicker again and engine light came back on.

error codes are:-

crankshaft position sensor circuit

variable valve timing / CMP sensor range/performance

VVT Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank1)

ive uploaded a vid of the noise its making at link above, the car goes fine but obviously concerned about a potential large main dealer bill or the engine breaking completely. Any ideas on how to proceed gratefully received

Thanks

Find the detail of your question leaves more questions than answers.

You say you added some oil when you got home - how low was it , below the low level ?

What oil are you using ?

Again you say you had it serviced and a new fan belt fitted and the ecu error codes read and cleared.

Yet there is no mention from you or the garage about that noise ?? - how can anyone service the car and not say something about it is a bit unbelievable.

Just looking at the vid it does sound like a bearing or similar is breaking down on some of the ancillary stuff, again why the garage did not check things while the belt was off is a mystery ?

Perhaps take it to some other garage recommended by friends and see if they can do a quick diagnosis.
