Cambelt Or Chain Driven?

hey there... im curious of whether my car is cambelt driven or chain driven? it is a 52 plate celica 140 1.8......

Have you had a look at the timing side of the engine? Normally if its plastic covers its a Belt, closed incased metal cover normally is a chain.

Hi fellow Toyota owners/fanatics. I had the same question on my Celica - quick search of the internet led me to www.mytimingbelt.com - gives all the recommended change intervals and if your car is listed it has a belt, if it isn't it is a chain pretty much, Worth a look to avoid a snap!
