Removal Tool For 90915-Yzzj1 Filters

The 90915-YZZJ1 is fitted to many vehicles.

A relatively new product has come on the market from laser tools UK.

I have one and it works a treat, much better than pressed steel cup filter removers which tend to be very poor.

The problem is that when a 3/8 bar or accessory is pushed into the hole in the cup of the black pressed steel type cup removers, the drive part of your accessory will protrude inside the cup and potentially damage the top curved part of the casing of the filter cartridge. The problem is compounded if you apply downward pressure (towards the engine ) whilst trying to remove the filter.

The cure is to use an aluminium type remover which has been purpose designed.
