Yet Again, Another Problem!

Same car as before if people had read the previous thread i posted about the car..

Squeaking rear-end it sorted. It was the brake pad indicators that were catching on the disc. The pads were 90% worn, and it was a warning to us that they needed doing, so that is sorted now!

Since bringing the car back from John Roe Toyota in Grimsby, we have had nothing but problems!

Problem 1; When you steer left, even just a small amount of lock there is a grinding noise. And you can feel it through the car like a vibration. I don't know what to do as it is an electric system and doesn't need power steering fluid. I was thinking it could be the bearings or something.

Problem 2; This morning, the car will not start. I checked for a fuel leak as there is a crack in the pressure pipes (1&4). But not significant enough to leak all of the diesel out. It's like a hair-line crack. The Battery is full, and there is full charge in it. As it was running perfectly fine only the day before. No lights or anything were left on, so it wouldn't have drained it.

When you go to start the car, and turn the key in the ignition, there is a clicking and grinding noise. I don't know what they could be, but it sounded like the starter motor. But I do not know..

What do you guys think?

Thanks,

Kate.

hi Kate

Problem -1 ---- there must me either bearing/s issue or it must be re-tighten/adjusted;

Problem -2 ---- in details --- the engine is well cranked but no joy with ignition? The Battery is OK; Diesel level in the tank is OK. but not ignited?

PLease come back

regards / Igor
