Hi all looking for help here. My Avensis is due to go into a Toyota garage tomorrow to see if we have an AD ENGINE to have the cylinder head gasket replaced under the extended warranty. Can anyone give me a heads up what an AD ENGINE is? Many thanks

Hello mate, the AD engine is an all aluminium design engine built by Toyota in late 2005, it had many new features including a chain driven cam rather than it's predicessor the CD engine which had a belt drive and a cast iron block.
