I had Toyota Yaris 1.33 Auto AC 2002 for 5 years, I was very happy with it but it was sold 2 month ago. i only can drive automatic car. Last week I purchased Toyota yaris VVi 1.33 Semi T Sprit Auto MMT 2007. I felt I cannot drive this car, I had some misses on the traffic road. I have never experienced this, roll back on a hill, jump and leaping while I was driving. I cannot handle it. I head alot of owner complain about MMT gearbox. I am trying to do P/X later, but don't know which model Must be fully Automatic am going to buy. It must has hill assist to hold, no roll back. Anyone Could please help to give any suggestion for my next Toyota. CVT vs gear box. which gearbox is closest the old style fully Automatic Toyota?

You could try the New Verso S (1.33 litre) with the CVT transmission

Not sure if that's in your budget!

Yaris Hybrid! :toast::yes:

(May need to win the lottery first tho' :unsure:)

The only auto gearboxes I don't hate have been 'proper' torque-converted full autos (Like the early Yaris Mk1's) and the HSD systems used in the Toyota hybrids - Both are nice and seamless, reliable and pleasant to drive.

Never liked Semiauto-style/auto-clutch systems like Freetronic/MMT and Tiptronic. Only exception is the VW DSG system, which is really nice (But insanely expensive to repair and service).

Only had bad experiences with CVTs so wouldn't touch with a barge pole (Like MMT, they're great brand new but after a while they just feel horrible.)
