Praise For The Prado

Hi All,

I know I’m probably stating the obvious to the converted but I just thought I’d introduce myself as a new member by “Praising the Prado” before moving on later to ask for members advice.

I bought my 1996 three litre diesel Prado in 2006 (My first Toyota) when we had a farmhouse in Italy that I was restoring, travelling back and forth from England about five times a year loaded to the hilt with tools etc. 2,200 kilometres each way, easy driving. When there I needed a 4 wheel drive to get up our poorly maintained “white road” carting around building materials, no problem. And in the 80,000 kilometres I’ve done since then, apart from the usual small service costs, all I’ve had to fork out for is a new middle exhaust section. Now it’s just clocked up 200,000 kilometres and what a good buy it turned out to be. To date reliability, durability and performance excellent.
