Which Air Filter?

Hi all, I was thinking of replacing my air filter with a k&n panel filter or green cotton one, I don't want the induction kits, bin there and done that lol , on previous cars. I was just wondering what filters people are using and what they think.

Thanks for the advice

I've tried most of them over the years, and my honest opinion is that the OEM ones do their job well and there is very little difference where power is concerned. By very little, I mean, it's unlikely a road car would benefit, except for the ability to clean it and re-use it over several years.

If you have a look at the Toyota one, it's actually very well made andcan be hoovered/air blowed out easily to maintain its ability to filter well.

But if you insist on changing, I found Green cotton filters to be good value and not smothered in Oil like some other makes.

Thanks for the feedback I'm pretty sure I read a article some where showing that the difference between oem and after market panel filters was very small, I think I just might stick with the oem buddy

I've got a k&n panel filter in mine and it doesn't make it quicker just alot smother and get a nicer sound. Worth the money considering its not much more than standard and is good for a few years.

Also running a k&n from Tunit, as already stated won't give you much gain really but on the d4d in conjunction with the tuning box they have found around a 4bhp difference with a little extra torque. Will save you money on services though as they hold a million mile warranty so you never have to pay for one again :)
