My Toyota Corolla G Touring Dignis 4Wd

Hi to everyone out there. There are a lot of nice cars on here, on other site, and out in the real world as well, so I thought I would add my contribution. Story of this car is that I purchased it from Japan in 2011. It has the same body style wagon/estate as sold in Europe badged as Toyota Corolla GLI & GS 2.0D. The Jap cars are much more generous, loaded with many additional safety equipment (I feel being a sound and safe driver is the best safety device of all) and extra luxuries. This was one of the main reasons for me buying the car, while the other was the bullet proof reliability that all Japanese makes are renown for. The car only had a 2 out of 5 star rating on the auction site so not great. The photos looked fine while the documents showed no accident damage or that the gearbox or engine was in need of attention. However when it arrived at port in the U.K. it had a warning sticker stating it was a defective car, but no reason as why. Start up and driving was fine and it sailed though the MOT. Then while driving it on the motorway I noticed the car swaying from side to side and banging from the rear wheel area. Turned out it a 100% worn rear shock. Had it fixed almost a year ago and no other problems since with anything. She sails along beautifully. Interior and exterior needed major cleaning work as this car was in the earthquake area when it hit. Where the dust settled on the car made it difficult to remove from the crevices around the bodywork. But I brushed on some gunk and that removed all of it but took about half a week to do. Then had the car fully serviced inc timing belt, installed a Digital Dab radio, fitted an alarm/immobilizer for insurance purposes, scraped the corroded steel wheels and replaced them with a set of 5 original corolla alloys for the finishing touch. Well almost one year on I'm still getting it up to scratch. This week I just finished cleaning the engine bay (I know its sad) so it can be in as presentable state as to post among the other Toyota's here. So the only thing now left is to clean is myself :)

Thanks, it taken quite a bit of time to get her up to this standard, but it's well worth it I think. Latest jobs that I have completed have been replenishing the brake fluid and cleaned the engine bay.
