Upgrading Built In Sat Nav

Hi All

I have a 2004 T25 with the built in turn by turn sat nav in the top of the dashboard. Has anybody had a go at upgrading this system to the in-dash flip up screen version as it looks like quite a modular unit. I guess the box under the drivers seat would need changing too. Would the correct wiring harness be there? Or is this a completely insane idea? I have already upgraded the radio/cd to a an excellent double din multimedia system so I do not want to replace that bit.

It's basically the same unti as it fitted in the Lexus IS-200 so the instructions available on-line apply

I did this to mine (retrofitted the flip up unit as mine is a T3-X and so didn't have it fitted)

Fitted a Garmin unit, but tomtom would work too. My missus loves it, she uses the voice command all the time, it's way better than the factory installed units seem to be.

It took abour 3-4 hours total, including being slow and anal about getting it right
