Iq Battery

Hi all

Just a bit of info. Today with a fully charged Battery i parked at a local large outlet, turned the engine off and sat listening to the radio until it timed out and i reset it. In total was there about an hour and a half. Volume was low but sat nav screen was on and various gadgets like the TPMS not the heads up display. Anyway when it came to start the engine it lots of clicks and buzzes and just didnt have enough capacity. The voltage was still up at 12.8 so everything switched on ok just couldnt pull current. Moral of the story, when the Ignition times out not a good idea to reset it for another half hour. The Battery is very small. It wouldnt have happened in my "tank" peugeot. Jump srarted fine and all is well.

Hmm. Isn't that uncanny!!! As you know, our Battery failed last week and had to be replaced (2 weeks warranty left, so got it just in time).

Did you have to wait long for your jump start?

It was my fault though. Just under estimated the batteries capacity. Its voltage was normal ( lucky i keep a meter in the car. HELLO). So the efficiency is fine. Will keep an eye on it

Are batteries covered under warranty? I didn't think they were.

You may well be right Andrew. Although I haven't looked into the technology I suspect it doesn't rely on a true starter 300-400amps each time
