Fog Light Covers

I like the new layout for the site and am always amazed at the different things I can find out by a regular dip into the site.

I was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to get fog light covers to put over the front fogs.

They do seem a bit vulnerable down there!

I,ve had a look but can't find covers anywhere.

Mine is a series 3, post 2006, round fog lights,

The series 2 seem slightly bigger but i cant see any covers for those either!

Anyone with any thoughts on this please?

Not aware of anything specific available but I had mine covered with 'Ventureshield' film, along with the headlights, bonnet, front bumper, door mirrors and leading edge of front wings just after I bought the car new four years ago. No chips or cracks evident on any of those areas.

Wish I had asked for a strip just along the leading edge of the roof as that's the only place that has evidence of stone chips.

You can buy small sheets of the film on e-bay. It is fairly easy to apply - just make up suitable templates.

Excellent reply Dave, never entered my head to use Ventureshield.

Must say the worst I have ever had on the foggies is the odd low flying wasp. Respect though to Davrav and his foresight in shrinkwrapping those areas he did....brill idea.
