Head Unit Failure.

MY JVC aftermarket head unit failed in my Aygo Go so i refitted the original one.

However the built in tomtom no longer gives spoken directions. I have made sure all the connections are plugged back into their respective sockets but still no spoken directions.

I do however get spoken directions when listening to ipod or USB music and it does pause these devices to speak directions allbeit at quite low volume.

I cannot figure out what could be wrong. The speaker and volume preferences are greyed out when the tomtom is docked to the vehicle so there is no way to set it up in that respect.

I inspected all the wiring and connections several times but still nothing.

It's unusual that it won't speak directions when listening to the radio therefore i am at a loss as to what the problem could be.

Anyone got any ideas on this.

Have you tried setting the volume with the TomTom undocked? An while standing still?

You DID plug in the small box between the speaker-leads?

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I did make sure of those but still nothing. After several checks of all connections i think returning to the Toyota dealer is the only thing to do so will keep you updated.
