Power Loss

i have a 2.0 d4d 2002 model which recently has been suffering power loss when get to around 2500rpm its inconsistent some days its there other days no problem,it only had a full service 4 months ago and only done 4000miles since then so i am thinking filters should be ok any ideas peeps?

I have a 2004 2.0 d4d and had similar symptoms. It was very intermittent and then then developed to become constant power loss. The power loss was happening around 1500 and 2300 rpm. Above 3200 rpm it was never a problem, however, changing the fuel filter has eradicated this problem. I used a genuine fuel filter from Mr. T with a cost, inc VAT, of £30. Hope this helps.
