Supra Help

I'm new to the Toyota scene and would like some advice. Basically I’m after a high spec mkIV for under £10K. I do not have a budget for modifications yet therefore I would like the quickest standard car. From what I’ve read so far I should be looking for a UK spec TT. True? Also, I think I would prefer an auto. Is there a particular year I should be looking for because I’ve ready that the 93 model has 0-60 of 4.9 and other years have slower times. Not sure why this is. The only draw back I have read about the UK spec car is that the handling is better on some of the imports. Again I don’t know why this is. At the moment I have only been able to find cars for sale on autotrader so if anyone has any recommendations on where to look I would be very grateful.

Cheers guys

I doubt you'll find a UK spec car for around £10k, decent ones are now quite rare and attract a high price. Imports go for around this figure, but there are differences, smaller brakes, injectorsa, turbos etc. Only 280hp stock also.

Any MKIV TT under 10K you will have to really look hard at. The only differnece between an Import and a UK car is the UK have bigger brakes, not speed resricted, have a bonnet vent and have UK turbos, the rear light cluster is different to.

Most Jap Import Supras come with a semi-race setup Bilsteing shocks and Eiback or TRD Springs normally 35mm lower.

For 10K I would buy an Import, chances are it will have the exhaust, Induction and maybe a few more bits already fitted.

15K will get you a stomper!!!
