Hi, I have a 2009 T4 Diesel Avensis Estate. The electronic temperature gauge on the display consol has increased to over half way. I have checked oil and coolant, and both are ok. Any ideas? Thanks

1st thing to do is to find this primer sensor on the engine and thoroughly clean el contact.

most probably there is a signal lose.

the indicator on the dash board shows what signal comes to him as voltmeter

besides -- check with coolant expansion tank -- whether or not an oil film is available

diesel avensise might suffer from head gasket issue (???)
